I’ve been working this weekend.
Oh the joys of the advertising industry. But I’m quite chuffed with myself – given the powerful lure of the glorious weather outside – so I treated myself to half an hour browsing (and swiping) on the wonderful website: In Good Company.

I got a R50 discount email voucher from In Good Company last week and I most certainly put it to use. Check out these pretty hanging Paper Daisies.

If you want a R50 discount on your next purchase of awesome crafty goodies and pretty things, just let me know.  Moenie stress nie ... It's perfectly legal ... the voucher is meant to be forwarded on.

Let me know.

Happy Sunday

Good grief … isn’t it absolutely bizarre how life imitates art.
Or in this case, a classic fairy tale story.
Giggle.

Coldplay you make my heart go giddy-up

Kings Of Leon Who?

Since the release of their debut album Parachutes in 2000, yellow not only became my favourite colour but my favourite song too. And thanks to Chris “Kissable Lips” Martin, I’ve always maintained that my life will remain totally and 100 percent unfulfilled until the day I got to see Coldplay LIVE in concert. What I really hoped for was for the fee-arn-say to fly me to London, take me to a Coldplay concert in Hyde Park and get Chris Martin to pull me on stage (passionately kissing me as he did so) and then propose to me on the fee-arn-says behalf. But that never happened.

So a rocking concert at the FNB Stadium in Soweto will just have to do!!!!!

When I say I’m so excited I don’t actually know what to do with myself, I seriously mean it. I’m like a nervous wreck on a sickening sugar high. We’ve already booked our return flights to JHB – sans concert tickets, which only go on sale on Thursday at 9am.  But I am NOT missing out on this one.

As far as I’m concerned, The Kings of Leon can kiss my hairy white bum because my first best, most ultimate, favouritist, super awesome, I-would-do-anything-in-the-world-to-see-them band ... are coming to town.

I think I’m having a panic attack right now.

p.s chris martin … if you want me to ... I will have your babies. I promise.

p.s.s read up about it here

p.s.s.s GET EXCITED!

Ok so the delicious sounding brownie recipe goes a little something like this …

I wish I could say that I had as much luck with my brownies as Lorraine did.
I think it's a sign I should start paying attention to.
Unless it’s to make popcorn or wash the dishes, I strongly advise myself to stay out of the kitchen.

I will give myself some credit though. My scale has disappeared so I measured the castor sugar with my eyes. And they do look dam good. Sadly though … I tried one with my morning coffee and it tastes too much like raw egg (which I despise) so the first person to comment on this post wins a sweetly packaged box of wheat-free peanut butter brownies. Go!

Just kidding.
The Fee-Arn-Say will eat them. He knows better than to be honest with me about how they really taste.

So it’s time to bin (laden) Mr No-Grass-Man.

Yes folks, today is a very sad day. But I’m afraid to say it was bound to happen.  Right from the very start of it all, I struggled to get so much as a green nose hair out of this little dude. Eventually after 2 weeks we got some form of growth – which if you ask me – was merely a tease. Because after this post …. Nothing else grew.

No wait, that’s not entirely true.
We do have some growth. But it’s not green, it’s off-blue, and it’s fluffy and commonly known as mould!

I follow a great foodie blog called the London Food Police.
While the posts are a bit sporadic – I guess that happens when you’re a hot shot working for Coca Cola in the big smoke of London – they’re flipping witty and entertaining, And they’ve got little bits and pieces of really interesting information. Like this week’s post, which led me to Lorraine Pascale.

Ever heard of her?
Nope me neither.
But now I’m glad I have.

I’ve just jotted down one of her incredible sounding, delicious looking recipes for yummy and guilt-free peanut butter brownies. I mean HELLO!!!! Perfect for all you wheat- and gluten-free freaks out there: like me!
I’m going to attempt it tonight. Will let you know if it comes out looking anything like this:
