I baked a MEAN
double-choc, choc-nut choc-extreme choc-choc chocolate-cake the other day for The Birthday
Husband! I felt the big THREE OH deserved some form of flour, sweat and fears
in the kitchen from his devoted wife.
And if I do say
so myself, it was hot-dam delicious!
So I thought I’d share the recipe with ya’ll … just incase your pinterest recipe stash was running low. I found this one in the Pick n Pay magazine about a year ago, but have always been too terrified to try it out. I mean, not one but TWO slabs of grated chocolate.
I’m going to
start something that will make sure I’m sharing and blogging and being online at least once a week. Let’s
call is Fanciful Fridays shall we. I’ll gather all my favourite bits and pieces from a
week of scouring my favourite website(s) and share them with you. It’s not Friday today, but it
flipping well should be.
So let’s start.
The doodie is my best ( see what I did there …
dog + hoodie = doodie).
I'm so clever, sometimes I say to myself: "Self, you're so clever". Ok. Bye.
Love it or hate
it - we’re an all-consuming society that is all consumed by updates on
facebook, other people’s pinterest pictures and how many twits you can get to
follow your tweets. If you ask me, it’s a little bit exhausting – not to
mention impersonal - and terrifying. But shit, if you don’t keep up with the Joneses you’ll be
left hanging on the curb with the Niemands … so I’m gonna tweet about this blog
post via facebook and will pin it to my “important stuff” board once I get 13.5
hits via google reader.
But until then, I’m
just going to wear this necklace, which I found on one of the sites I visit on a daily basis. Oh, the irony!
