Sew Much For That

Mumsie bought me a cute little beginner sewing machine for Christmas, that I’ve yet to open and get stuck into. It comes with its very own instructional DVD for re-tards like me who don’t even know how to spell over-lock, let alone do it, use it, apply it ... whatever?!

But seriously … I think it’s time I learnt how!

This is the result of wanting my three quarter dress to sit just above the knees.  Not only is it skew, jagged and horrible to look at – it’s shorter on the left hand side and completely, inappropriately too short for public exposure. Rats!

Sleep Time

Hubs and I bought ourselves a new bed with our wedding winnings (also known as money). And because he’s 6 foot something and wears the pants in the relationship (not really!), he got to choose the bed – an extra length king size complete with double twin memory mattress on top. What that basically means is that every night I have to take a running jump up just to get on top of it. He, of course, thinks it’s hysterical. I just find it daunting every time I have to abseil back down to the ground floor each morning. 

Anyways … It doesn’t look anything like this, but how super cool would it be to have a an office with one of these bad boys in the corner. Jump around, make some noise, do some work, and then just lay down for a quick shut eye! We’re going to need a really big house one day for all the cool stuff that I’m planning on filling my 'office' with.

Oh my gosh, I’m just finding all these really cool, really creative things today, and I just want to share them all with you! Imagine the pre-production on this insane music video by Ok Go, in collaboration with Chevrolet! Glorious I tell you, just freaking glorious! It appears there really is no limit to what the imagination can provide.

Kisses Are Nice

Well hello!

Did you miss me?

I’ve got so much to tell you, so much to do and I feel like 2012 is playing a very sneaky game of catch-up with me. Since the last time we spoke - a lot has happened:

* I learnt how to dance like a sexy Dita Von Tesse version of myself.

* I’ve partied with family and friends from all over the world.

* I spent the most money I’ve ever spent on any item of clothing ... on

  one single dress

* I’ve been spoilt with far too many gifts.

* I’ve been to Cape Town,

* And New York

* And San Francisco

* And Las Vegas

* I won $600 on red, and then my husband Iost it on black

* I now own a sexy pair of Steve Madden boots and …

* I’m a married woman!

It’s all very weird. 
But it’s also very very awesome and to say the last 2 months have been a whirlwind experience is really not doing it any justice at all. So I won’t even try to explain the awesomeness that was my hens, wedding, and honeymoon … I will, however, show you a picture from each, and we’ll leave it at that and get on to tackling what I can only hope will be a perfect 2012!
